Spec. Dt. Meryem Ecem Sayalı

Pediatric Dentist (Pedodontics)

Specialist Dentist Meryem Ecem Sayalı was born in Adana. She attended İsmail Safa Özler Anatolian High School.

She received her dental education at the Çukurova University Faculty of Dentistry and graduated with the title of Dentist.

Subsequently, she worked as a dentist at a private clinic in Ankara.

Later, she served as a general dentist at Akçakoca State Hospital for approximately two years.

She began her specialty training in the Department of Pedodontics at Kocaeli University Faculty of Dentistry, where she also worked as a research assistant during her training. She completed her specialization in Pedodontics and earned the title of Specialist Dentist.

During her specialty training, she gained clinical experience in areas such as preventive dentistry practices for children and adolescents, restorative treatments for primary and permanent teeth, vital pulp therapies, dental trauma management, and advanced treatment approaches for pediatric patients.

Her specialty thesis focused on the “Retrospective Evaluation of the Success of Pulpotomy Treatment Performed with Dual-Cure Resin-Modified Calcium Silicate (TheraCal PT) on Permanent First Molars in Children.”

Continuing her professional practice as a Pediatric Dentistry Specialist, Meryem Ecem Sayalı closely follows current scientific developments, training programs, congresses, and treatment approaches in the field of pediatric dentistry. Services provided include dental examinations and treatment planning for pediatric patients, preventive care (such as fissure sealants and topical fluoride applications), composite restorations for primary and permanent teeth, stainless steel crowns, pulpotomies and root canal treatments, vital pulp therapies, and the management of dental trauma.

Adopting preventive and minimally invasive treatment principles tailored to the age and developmental stage of pediatric patients, the aim is to alleviate dental anxiety and transform the treatment process into a safe, comfortable, and positive experience for both the child and the family.

Particular expertise is held in the comprehensive dental rehabilitation of pediatric patients under general anesthesia; for patients requiring extensive dental care, a holistic assessment is conducted to formulate an appropriate treatment plan, and the necessary restorative, pulpal, preventive, and surgical procedures are performed in a single session.
